Synonyms: Chitosan, biotin labeled; Biotin chitosan, Biotinylated chitosan
Product Descriptions:
Biotin labeled chitosan is one of SLT's biotinylated polysaccharide conjugates that were labeled with biotin tag. Chitosan is a linear polysaccharide consisting of randomly distributed beta (1,4)-linked D-glucosamine and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. Chitosan has been used in many areas including medical, agricultural and industrial. In biomedical field, chitosan has been successfully used as a hemostatic agent to stop bleeding and as an antibacterial agent. Biotin is a commonly used small tagging molecule that has high binding affinity toward avidin or streptavidin. Biotin labeled chitosan conjugate thus can be easily detected by biotin/streptavidin bioassay system.
